Reading the Schedule
OK Lets talk about reading the Schedule…….
It will be posted in the Document Center on 9/8/2010.
To read either version of the schedule you will have to know the area, class, and team number for the player. Without that information you will have a problem and for security reasons we cannot provide that information over the phone or email. . The Master Schedule By Area is an easy-to-read schedule with one area per page. You may choose to print only the page(s) that have the area(s) that you need. It can be found on the Document Center along with the Master Schedule.
The Primary Master Schedule is a bit more cryptic containing all 357 games scheduled this year.
9/11/2010 Visit Host Time Example of entry for one day F01 BR1 CL1 1 F02 DU1 CL2 9 F03 BR2 CL3 5
At the very top you can find a legend showing 2 letter code for each area. The team code will be that abbreviation plus the team number by age/weight class
The sheet is divided into 3 sections by light gray divider lines . On the far left is a column showing the game #-- letter designates division (F = FR, J = JV, V = Var)
Under game date there are three columns: Visit = Visiting Team, Host = Home Team, Time = Time ( 9 and 11 are AM ---- All other are PM).
So to find the selected game and time: IF you know the team you are looking for go to the correct division section, look for your selected team Code and determine home team they are playing at and time.
Example: Freshman -- Birch Run 2 You go to Freshman section designated by game # code F on left --- look for BR2 under visiting and home teams. (you will find it in example under game F3) . It reads Freshman BR2 @ CL3 at 5:00 PM.

Inclement Weather Notice & Rescheduled Games
The MMRFL follows the guidelines of the MHSAA/NFHS regarding Lightning and delay / suspension of games. That means that if Lightning is seen the game must be delayed and teams removed from the field of play to safety. The game cannot be resumed until 30 minutes after the last flash of lightning is seen. Based upon our schedule and the weather conditions once a game has been delayed the Area and League Staff and Game Officials will make the decision if and when a game is suspended for the day. Once suspended for the day we will either reschedule a time to finish the game or call the game complete at the point suspended. Any game rescheduled will need to be played on the next day (Sunday) or on a weekend during the season when neither team has another game per MHSAA rules. A game that is suspended part way through and rescheduled will resume at the same point in the game at which is was suspended.
As soon as we are aware of any problems we will post a notice on this Bulletin Board of any MMRFL games that are rescheduled, delayed, or cancelled for any reason. We will also update that notice for date, times, and locations of makeup game or status as soon as information is available. We suggest that you check the Bulletin board Saturday before you leave for a game if there is inclement weather on Friday or Saturday.

MMRFL Football Cleat Regulations
Please pay special attention to the following guidelines when going out to buy cleats for your child for the upcoming football season in the MMRFL. Your child will not be allowed to participate in a game with cleats that do not conform to the MMRFL Rules. Pay special attention to the Cleats.
++++ Molded football or soccer style cleats made of a rubber-like material only, that cannot develop a burr or cutting surface. NO SCREW—IN, HARD CERAMIC, or METAL TIPPED CLEATS.
++++ Cleats may not be any longer then ½” in length.
++++ NO POINTED CLEATS or STUDS. All cleats or studs must be a minimum of 3/16” in diameter or more at the tip.
Shoe style names vary from store to store with the same shoes having different names and different stores. Also new shoes are coming out every few weeks so specifc recommednations are hard to list. There are many low cost offbeat brands that work. Of the Top Brand names Addidas is traditionally the best option for meeting these standards while Nike is one of the worst. In General almost all of the Nike "Shark" line of cleats do not meet this standard . UNder-Armour has only had one style in 3 years that met the rules.
Do not count on the clerks at the retail stores to know which shoes are legal or not – follow the rules above. We cannot educate all the clerks in the Leagues territory and in many cases they don’t care they just want to sell any thing you will buy. Be especially careful of the shoes with small pointed studs on the bottom or edge – these are illegal by MMRFL standards (minimum 3/16” at the tip) --- If you insist on buying these the small studs must be cut off to conform to MMRFL rules.
